Who We Are

Bahumukhi Gramunnayan Samity (B.G.S.)

What drives us

Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To empower marginalized communities — particularly women, children, and rural populations — through sustainable development, education, healthcare, and advocacy. We stand firmly against human trafficking, child marriage, dowry, and child labour, working tirelessly to restore dignity and deliver justice to every victim.

  • End trafficking & protect victims

  • Prevent child marriage & child labour

  • Uplift rural & island communities

Our Vision

A society where every woman and child lives with dignity, freedom, and equal opportunity — free from trafficking, exploitation, and discrimination. We envision thriving rural communities where children pursue their dreams, women lead with confidence, and justice is accessible to all.

  • A world free from human trafficking

  • Equal rights & justice for women & children

  • Self-reliant, enlightened rural communities

What we stand for

Major Goals of B.G.S.

The major goal of this organization is to stop the eradication of trafficking of human beings, conduct Anti-Trafficking Awareness Programmes, restore victim girls and seek justice for them, prevent Child Marriage and Dowry, and abolish Child Labour — from the very beginning.

B.G.S. also actively leads the North Bengal Development Programme, Sundarban Island Development Programme, and the Ganga Sagar Mela Programme — addressing development needs at the grassroots level.

"If man makes man a commodity — this height of vile cannot be changed — then how can other kinds of developments travel in their usual pace? They cannot. And that's why B.G.S. thinks about the inevitability of standing in protest."
