Registered under Societies Registration Act, 1961
Bahumukhi Gramunnayan Samity (B.G.S.) is a registered voluntary organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1961 in December 2000. The organization is involved in initiating different activities to solve the multi-faceted problems of the project area.
A part and parcel of the All India Child & Woman Rescue Forum since 2000–2001, B.G.S. stands in firm protest against the trafficking of women and children — driven by the belief: "…we dream of blessing the world a society that comes up with every respect towards women and a good planet where children are allowed to line up their dream."

The major goal of this organization is to stop the eradication of trafficking of human beings, conduct Anti-Trafficking Awareness Programmes, restore victim girls and seek justice for them, prevent Child Marriage and Dowry, and abolish Child Labour — from the very beginning.
B.G.S. also actively leads the North Bengal Development Programme, Sundarban Island Development Programme, and the Ganga Sagar Mela Programme — addressing development needs at the grassroots level.
"If man makes man a commodity — this height of vile cannot be changed — then how can other kinds of developments travel in their usual pace? They cannot. And that's why B.G.S. thinks about the inevitability of standing in protest."
